For a long time natural and functional pet treats have been far too expensive to be used on a consistent basis, one of our goals is to change that. Our treats are 100% Made in the USA with 0 artificial preservatives.
We started Dogs and Pup 4 years ago because of our love for our own pets and needed to find a more economical and trusted way to help our own furry friends. We do not sell anything that our own pets do not take.
Our functional treats are made using solar power, our treats are packaged in glass, our labels are foil, our packing protection is cardboard and cellulose peanuts. We are committed to being good for your pup, your wallet and the environment.
We started Dogs and Pup back in 2019 as a way to help our own Dog Jake which you can see adorned in many places across our website and our advertising. Jake is whats known as a "silver" Labrador retriever. The same gene that causes his chocolate color to be diluted to silver also causes many other problems for Jake namely his skin and his coat. We always looked for something to help Jake and nothing ever did, which is why we decided to work with local places, bakeries etc to have a product that actually worked for his skin and coat and didn't break the bank. From there we moved into some other products like joint formulas. Labradors are a large breed of dog which automatically can open them up to possible joint problems later in life. That's why we added a second product for joint and gut health. Believe it or not many problems we have today and not just our pets can begin in the gut. Our goal has always been to not just help Jake with functional dog treats but to do so in as natural way as possible with products made right here in the USA under strict guidelines during manufacturing. We then began exploring ways to make our products better for the environment. Close to 15% of all the plastic made in the USA is used for pet suppliers. We intend to do things a different way. Our packing consists of glass containers and craft paper. With less than 1% plastic a our containers and packaging is easily recyclable and reusable. You no longer need to throw away your pet treat containers when you are done with them. We often setup drives for treats with local shelters as well as our pup of the month for free treats!
